Making the online modes of a game as ?tidy? as possible is the way to go to ensure the continued success of such modes in games which rely heavily on online multiplayer gaming. Being one of the biggest releases this holiday season and a game which will be played online a lot, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 online play policies have been precisely detailed by developer Treyarch.

Treyarch promises to subject all infractions to a ?review process? before enforcing a penalty which won?t be further reviewed: punishments will vary, going from a temp ban of up to 48 hours to a final permanent ban.
Offenses will classified into minor and extreme offenses: a minor offense is one in which there hasn?t been quantifiable damage to any single user or the community; an extreme offense causes detriment to other users.
Behaviours that will be punished include running a modified version of the game code or game profile, using a pirated version of the game, using unsopported external hardware devices and applications like IP flooders and lagswitches, abusing glitches in the game, exploiting online gaming just to gain experience, weapon level or improve weapon level.
Offensive, aggressive and derogatory behaviors will be punished as well, along with offensive emblem images and unathorized content streamed through the streaming function.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released tomorrow on Pc, Ps3 and Xbox 360. A Wii U version will be available on the console?s launch day, on November 20.
