Alex Litvak is set to write The Art of War, Legendary East’s project based on the ancient military writings of Sun Tzu.
Vincent Newman will produce with Legendary.
The project had a previous script by Ryan Condal but is now getting a total rethink, although it will still remain a historical action adventure. The new take isn’t known.

Sun Tzu was a military general who lived circa 500 B.C. War was his take on military strategy, and it became one of the most important works in military thought, then crossing over into the business and legal worlds. Michael Ovitz famously handed out copies of it to employees when he ran CAA.
Jillian Share will oversee Art of War for Legendary.
The Verve-repped Litvak co-wrote Twentieth Century Fox’s Predators, as well as The Three Musketeers, which was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, and starred Logan Lerman, Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich.
